Australian midfielder Tameka Butt has agreed to terms with the Boston Breakers, the team confirmed on Wednesday. Butt, 20, joins her Australian teammate Kyah Simon, who is also 20-years old.

Butt played for Australia when the Matildas won the 2010 AFC championship and played in two matches at the 2011 World Cup.

“I am so happy that this has now been finalized, and I can’t wait to get over to Boston,” Butt said. “I’ve heard such great things about the Boston Breakers, and I am really looking forward to joining up with the squad and getting out on the field and helping Boston be successful this season.”

Butt won the Westfield W-League title with the Brisbane Roar last season and the team plays for its second-straight title against Canberra United on Saturday. Butt was named player of the match in last year’s Grand Final win over The Breakers roster to date is listed below. Click here for the full list of WPS transactions.
